We recently had the pleasure of hosting yet another artist dinner at our single table restaurant here at the admirals residence. It was planned around the intent of investigating forms of living together and apart. „Conviviality: That just simply means living together, doesn’t it.“ Translating experiences into our own beliefs that might be part of what happens if we meet in person, previously foreign meanings emerge from the abstract into the present. Thank you Isobel for pointing out so clearly that we are to actively living the concept of conviviality.

Professor Dr. Peter Dannenberg as our featured guest for the evening

We were thrilled to have Professor Dr. Peter Dannenberg as our featured guest for the evening. He provided personal insights into his work and led our imagination to grow into a fruitful debates and discussions at the table and throughout the evening which was designed to flow around the residencies entertainment areas, garden and fire pit. The open fire themed dinner plan allowed sufficient gaps to feed interesting talks that continued for the next couple of days.

We’ve brought together a diverse group of individuals from different backgrounds to discuss and envision new forms of conviviality in times of displacement. The event was donation-based and aimed towards supporting up-and-coming projects catching on and doing exactly that. Finding structures driving towards networking and creative exchange leading into sustainable and innovative solutions within a convivial world.
